17-year-old critically injured following hit-and-run in Roseland, police say​on April 27, 2025 at 2:23 pm

A teenager was critically injured in a hit-and-run in the Roseland neighborhood Saturday evening, according to Chicago police.

A woman was traveling northbound on Stewart in a silver sedan Saturday when the woman struck a 17-year-old girl near 112th and Stewart. The teenager was running when the vehicle hit her. The vehicle came to a rest near the 400 block of W. 112th Street after striking the victim and a fence.

After the crash, police say the driver jumped out of the vehicle and fled the scene. The victim was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.

Police say no citations were issued and CPD’s Major Accidents Unit is investigating.
