DALLAS — A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with the killing of a 14-year-old boy who was shot to death earlier this month in Dallas, police say.

The suspect was charged with capital murder after being arrested Monday by the U.S. Marshals’ Task Force. While the suspect is being charged as an adult, WFAA is not yet naming him since he is a juvenile and few details about the case have been released.

Officers were first called about the shooting at about 1:30 a.m. March 13 in the 1500 block of Exeter Avenue and found the 14-year-old boy injured, police said.

The boy, who police aren’t naming because of his age, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter, officials said.

No other details about what led up to the shooting were released.
