CULBERSON COUNTY, Texas — A large earthquake shook West Texas Saturday night, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The earthquake was located about 35 miles south of Whites City, NM., in Culberson County.
USGS reported that it was a 5.3 magnitude earthquake and almost four miles in depth.
The earthquake occurred close to 9 p.m., according to the USGS. There was an aftershock nearby 10 minutes later, at 2.9 in magnitude.
