What the heck was Prime Minister Justin Trudeau doing in Poland? Poland was marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the death camp of Auschwitz. The hypocrisy of this man is astounding. He does nothing to combat the antisemitism crisis that is rampant and smouldering in Canada, yet he had the nerve to attend these commemoration ceremonies. He truly has no shame, no moral compass. This despicable man needs to go, now. I do not want him representing my country, to be the face of Canada to the rest of the world.

DOESN’T FIT THE DEFINITION

Liberal leadership contender Mark Carney is an outsider like I am prime minister. By dictionary definition, an outsider is a non-member of some party, profession, etc., or an applicant or competitor thought to have little chance (to win). That makes it passing strange that the “outsider” has the profile and greatest support of all the Liberal leadership candidates. Funny how an “outsider” can be so well-known and have so much support as to be one of the early favourites. And must not candidates be a party member to qualify as a candidate? Does not sound like he is an outsider to me. Guess this must be the latest example of Liberal obfuscation to bewilder and obscure reality for those voting for a new leader. It does prove the saying, “The more things change (a new ”outsider” leader), the more they stay the same (party insider continuing the same tired Liberal philosophies and policies under the guise of new and improved).” Carney is neither new nor improved.

(Carney may be better qualified, but that doesn’t mean he would be any better for Canada than Trudeau.)

UNSTRUSTWORTHY

Re: How can anyone trust the Liberals? Editorial, Jan. 28

It is for more than economic reasons that we can no longer trust the Liberals. Justin Trudeau steered his red ship to the extreme left and we ended up immobilized on the rocky shores of a stormy decade with anti-western elites who preached tribal politics, puritanical groupthink, infantile binary thinking and DEI (Disunity, Envy, Intolerant identity politics).

The Liberals told us that patriotism, national borders and a proud national identity don’t matter. They ignored the poor while championing their chosen oppressed. They preached every kind of diversity except diversity of ideas. They failed to defend our western values and our citizens against our internal and external enemies. They chose ivory-tower, ideological extremism over politics grounded in the real-life needs of Canadians.

We desperately need real leadership to navigate this uncertain, dangerous and rapidly changing world. We need a true leader who will focus on making us all prosperous, safe and proud to be Canadian.

Choose wisely before you get cancelled.

(In an ideal world such a candidate will run. We’re waiting to see if one pops up.)
