‘A dangerous and shocking situation’ – – overcrowded jails leading to inmates sleeping on cell floors and early release of criminals

The Government has been accused of running a “revolving-door” policy in the country’s crowded jails, as the number of inmates being released early due to a shortage of space more than doubled in the past two years.
