GWS have run over St Kilda in the third quarter, kicking 14 of the last 18 goals to amass a 50-point margin.

Toby Greene’s five goals have helped build the buffer which is likely to deliver GWS it’s fourth win of the season and see them rocket up the ladder.

Max Hall kicked his first goal of the game from a high-arcing snap. The mature-aged recruit has kicked six goals in his five AFL games.

Down the other end, Harvey Thomas snapped one of his own after a frantic defensive effort from St Kilda saw the ball fall into enemy hands.

Toby Greene came up with it and quickly handballed it to Thomas, who made no mistake.

Aaron Cadman then kicked a set shot after taking a mark off a lead.

7.2 this quarter makes it the highest scoring quarter of the year for GWS.

St Kilda 8.6 (54) GWS 15.8 (98) with 5 minutes remaining in Q3.

Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera has kicked his second, another long-range bomb on the run.

St Kilda will need more of that to reduce the inflating margin – especially as Toby Greene outs through his fifth of the game.

Interestingly, the Giants have now scored 10.2 (62) from set shots, with just two goals coming from general play, per the AFL.

GWS are piling on the pressure, extending their lead to 38 points.

For a moment, Toby Greene and Cooper Sharman shared the title for most goals of the game, with three each.

But the Giants’ skipper has slotted a marvellous goal from 40-meters out.

The Giants have continued to forge ahead as Aaron Cadman kicked one for himself, benefiting from the signature orange tsunami ball movement.

Cooper Sharman missed a set shot chance to score his third goal of the game.

But minutes later, he’s kicked a superb snap to bring his tally up.

St Kilda will need more play like that to drag themselves back into this game.

The Giants have struck early, as Toby Greene slips in a set shot in under a minute.

In sultry conditions at Norwood, GWS applied the blowtorch on St Kilda in a one-sided second quarter to turn the Gather Round clash firmly the Giants’ way.

St Kilda’s promising opening 20 minutes came undone in an error-strewn second term, with cough-ups out of defence and missed targets in attack bringing them undone.

Toby Greene and Darcy Jones both goaled courtesy of St Kilda turnovers.

The territory was relatively even, but GWS just looked slicker when putting chains of possessions together.

The Giants were also getting comfortably on top in the middle, after that battle was fairly square early.

Conditioning looms as a factor, with a 20-point half-time gap far from insurmountable.

The second half will begin shortly.

The Giants pulled ahead in the second quarter, kicking four goals to St Kilda’s one.

Jesse Hogan, Toby Greene and Cooper Sharman have all kicked two goals each.

Lachie Ash’s 20 disposals leads all players, with Josh Kelly (16) and Hugo Garcia (15) on his tail.

Despite the sloppy quarter from St Kilda they remain well within range.

Cooper Sharman has saved St Kilda from a goaless quarter by kicking his second, off forward entry from public enemy number one Jack Higgins.

It’s the Saints’ first goal of the match to be scored from an around-the-ground stoppage clearance chain.

The celebration was short-lived, however, with Callan Ward kicking a long-range set shot to put the lead back at 20 points.
