At least 3 rescued from apartment fire in Hoffman Estates, fire chief says​on April 23, 2025 at 4:10 am

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (WLS) — Multiple people were rescued from an apartment fire on Tuesday morning.

Chopper 7 was over the scene at about 7:20 a.m. in Hoffman Estates.

The fire started at about 6 a.m. on the second floor of the building, Fire Chief Alan Wax said.

The apartment building is located at Atlantic Avenue near Pacific Avenue.

Three people were trapped in their apartments. Officials said several were rescued, Wax said.

Four people went to local hospitals for treatment, but have since been released.

A total of 12 units were damaged and left uninhabitable.

Crews are investigating what caused the fire.
