BAIL FAIL! How Liberal junk justice policy springs criminals​on April 6, 2025 at 9:05 pm

Under Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government, consequences have effectively been eliminated from vast swaths of the Criminal Code.

Aided and abetted by the agreeable Supreme Court of Canada, killers, rapists, child molesters and other thugs – aka the cruel and inhumane club – have walked out of court.

And too often, they end up walking right back in again.

“We arrest them, then they get bail and we arrest them again,” one Toronto cop told The Toronto Sun. “So we’re arresting the same people over and over again instead of just leaving them in jail. Doesn’t matter if it’s guns or even murder.”

This has come at a time with spiking violent crime, daytime smash-and-grabs and dope flooding into the country.

The Toronto Police Association – representing more than 8,500 cops and civilian workers – issued a quartet of questions to Liberal Leader Mark Carney and Conservative Leader Pierre Polievre. The questionnaire asked the parties about gun violence policies, a demand for tougher sentences for the most heinous criminals and boosting police ranks.

But bail was number one with a bullet: “What is your party’s plan to stop the revolving door of bail and implement a system that better protects the public and our members?”

The Sun did a cursory search on some of the recent bail luminaries, and here’s who we found. None of the charges have been proven in any of these cases.

MACKENZIE DUNCAN

TORONTO

411: Mackenzie Duncan, 23, is accused of going on a violent rampage in downtown Toronto with a trio of unprovoked stabbings between March 24 and March 29. He was charged with 17 offences, including three counts of failure to comply with a release order. Then Niagara Regional Police arrested Duncan last Tuesday for the March 27 stabbing of a 66-year-old Toronto man in the Falls, charging him with attempted murder, possession of a weapon and … failure to comply with a release order.

NADIA CAMPITELLI

DURHAM REGION

411: Nadia Campitelli, 49, was arrested by Durham Regional Police and faces a slew of fraud charges for a bank scam that allegedly netted her $72,000. She’s wanted by cops across the country for allegedly committing similar scams. In addition to the fraud charges, Campitelli was hit with two counts of disobeying a court order, and three counts each of failure to comply with an undertaking and failure to comply with a release order.

ROHAN CHANDLER

NIAGARA

411: Rohan Chandler, 30, is wanted for second-degree murder for the killing of Victor Clayton, 56, in St. Catharines on April 1. As it turns out, he’s also wanted for failure to comply with his probation.

MATHIEU BEAUCHAMP

SARNIA

411: Mathieu Beauchamp, 25, was recently arrested for allegedly committing an indecent act outside a grocery store. He’s been convicted of the same offence at least five times and was just released from jail for it.  Charges he currently faces include breaching probation and was on bail. He has been convicted for exposing or touching himself at numerous locations. Busted on a similar charge in 2021, he kept masturbating in the back of the police cruiser.

ZACHARY McCULLOUGH

MISSISSAUGA

411: Zachary McCullough, 18, was pinched for firearms-related offences along with his gal pal, Sofia Arruda, 23. Peel Regional Police alleged that during a search, they seized a Glock 17 and a lot of money. McCullough is also charged with failure to comply with an undertaking.

ASMAA OUADRIA

MONTREAL

411: Asmaa Ouadria, 24, is accused of falsely identifying herself to cops after an officer was struck by a vehicle fleeing arrest in Oshawa. She’s now wanted for failing to comply with a release order, obstructing police, evading lawful custody and additional charges.

ADIMABUA CHUKWUKA

TORONTO

411: Adimabua Chukwaka, 31, is accused of beating to death a homeless man – Mario Ferreira, 60 – with a piece of debris at U of T. They did not know each other, according to police. With a long record of violence, he was hit with counts of failure to comply with a probation order. Earlier, he was accused of stabbing a man in the chest.

WILLIAM PAUL WILLAN

KAMLOOPS

411: William Paul Willan, 59 – a dangerous offender and pedophile – was released from custody, then Googled images of boys’ underwear. He recently pleaded guilty to several breaches. In 2005, he was arrested and convicted for using walkie-talkies to lure young victims, some only five years old. He has wrung up convictions for  violating his conditions.

CARL CHATEAUVERT

TORONTO

411: Carl Chateauvert, 34, is wanted for a slew of charges that include assault, assault with a weapon, fraud, breaking-and-entering, and … nine counts of failure to comply with a release order. On March 25, cops spotted him downtown and as they approached, Chateauvert allegedly rammed three police cruisers. There were no reported injuries.
