Basement fire damages Trojan Avenue triplex

First reports indicated the fire in the basement was caused by cooking oil.

Early fire responders confirmed heavy smoke from the basement through the vents.

Additional resources were dispatched to the site.

Fire teams extended a hose into the building while others began a search for any occupants.

All residents had escaped the blaze, and it was declared under control at 7:28 p.m.

High-pressure fans were used to ventilate smoke out of the structure.
