Weber’s Bakery located here 70th and Archer baked literally thousands of paczki.

Paczki are a traditional deep fried polish doughnut ,usually filled with jam, cream filing or fruit and topped with powdered sugar or glaze.

“I feel like this holiday gets crazier every year,” Rebecca, bakery co-owner, said. “More and more write-ups in papers and online about it. It’s basically a Polish doughnut that is filled. We made thousands. I couldn’t even tell you, I don’t know they’re everywhere, but thousands.”

The price of a paczki has gone up about 20-cents because of the cost of eggs but customers don’t seem to mind.
