Queensland’s premier, David Crisafulli, has stressed the importance of communities preparing for the approaching Tropical Cyclone Alfred. At a press briefing with emergency service leaders, he said there was ‘still an element of the population that hasn’t yet fully understood the magnitude of this system’.
