Up and down temperatures this week

Where’s the rain?
Spring is typically our rainiest season, and March is one of our wettest months, but this March has been unusually dry. Looking ahead, that trend doesn’t seem to change for much of North Texas. Rain chances over the next two weeks look minimal. Our best shot at rain comes Sunday when the Storm Prediction Center has highlighted parts of North Texas for potential severe weather. We’ll know more in the coming days.
The Wind Cranks Up This Week!
A Wind Advisory is in place for North Texas until 9 PM Wednesday. This is due to sustained winds of 20-30 mph with wind gusts near 45 mph. The wind will finally begin to relax Wednesday night. The wind will stay light on Thursday but picks up again on Friday.
Elevated Fire Danger This Week
An elevated fire danger is expected almost every day this week. The only break will be Thursday when winds briefly calm. Strong winds and low humidity will contribute to the fire threat, so please avoid outdoor burning if possible.
A Red Flag Warning in is place for Western North Texas until 9pm Wednesday. This means the fire threat reaches critical levels.
14 Day
We have a couple of days this week where temperatures will be a lot closer to normal. We will warm up this weekend with a low chance of rain. Rain chances are starting to look a little better by the end of the month!
