ACKERLY, Texas — Two earthquakes occurred in Ackerly, Texas Friday, northeast of Midland, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
At 1:33 p.m., a 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit southwest of Ackerly.
USGS said it was 4.2 miles in depth.
A second earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 was located south, southeast of Ackerly. This occurred at 3:47 p.m. and was 2.6 miles in depth, USGS reports.
