Donegal’s U20s notch third win in a row in Ulster Championship

Donegal 3-23 v 1-11 Down

Donegal’s U20 footballers have maintained their 100 percent record in the Ulster Championship with victory over Down this afternoon.

It was a fine scoring day in Ballyshannon from the outset for the home side.

Two first half goals including a strike from Daithi Gildea and a Seanan Carr penalty gave them their six-point lead at the interval.

A second Daithi Gildea goal at the beginning of the second half cancelled out Down’s only goal of the contest, before a dominant scoring run for Donegal left no room for doubt in the result.

They have already topped the table with one game to go in the group stage, a north west derby against Tyrone next week.
