Shortly after, a black SUV that police believe was connected to the shooting was seen burning near 92 Street and 144 Avenue, officers said.

The vehicle fire “damaged multiple adjacent vehicles and property, and posed a significant risk to the community,” police said, adding surveillance video showed “two unknown people running away from the burning vehicle.”

Persons with information about the shooting or arson are asked to contact police at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
