Edmonton police are seeking video after an arson caused “extensive damage” to a building in the Crestwood neighbourhood earlier this week.

On Wednesday around 8 a.m., police said they received a call from Edmonton Fire Rescue Services about an under-construction building on fire near 141 Street and 98 Avenue.

Investigators determined the fire was “deliberately set” and is being investigated as arson, with police believing it is not connected to other recent ones in Edmonton.

Police are asking anyone in Crestwood to check their security cameras and dashcam footage for suspicious activity between midnight and 7 a.m. on April 23. If you have information, contact police at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a cellphone, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
