IRISH punters snapped up the final tickets to Electric Picnic in just 15 minutes – with the very last passes only set to be made available to a select few.
The beloved music festival will take over Stradbally from August 29 to 31 with a line-up of stellar acts including Sam Fender and Chappell Roan.
And when some of the final tickets went on sale to the general public at 12pm, picnickers snatched them up in just 15 minutes.
But fear not, the very last batch of tickets will be made available through the Three Last Chance offering.
The tickets will only be purchasable through the Three+ app once the final round of acts has been announced.
So far, the Laois festival has revealed five massive headline acts with chart-toppers like Hozier, Fatboy Slim and Kings Of Leon all taking to the stage.
But Electric Picnic bosses have promised dozens more acts are still to be revealed.
And fans all took to social media to share their excitement and fury as tickets sold out.
One delighted punter wrote: “They laugh at me for buying an Electric Picnic ticket every year without knowing the lineup but I’m seeing Chappell Roan. Who’s laughing now?”
Kate said: “Can’t believe I have to fight the Electric Picnic ticket war again and it’s not even for me.”
And Sean added: “Trying to get an Electric Picnic ticket has taken years off my life.”
Emily added: “How I feel because I have Electric Picnic tickets and my favourite artist is headlining.”
News of the festival sell out comes after the organisers of Ireland’s biggest music and arts festival revealed huge updates to the General Admission campsite.
A pre-booked campsite, with new offerings, will now be available at no extra cost to festival goers.
Campers can register for these sites via the Electric Picnic website or Ticketmaster to ensure there’s sufficient space for their tent in their preferred campsite.
Campsites Jimi Hendrix, Samuel Beckett, Andy Warhol, Ériu and Janis Joplin require no reservation.
Electric Picnic chiefs said: “Upgrading and improving your festival weekend is always at the forefront of everything the Electric Picnic team do.
“So are we delighted to share our plans to evolve the camping experience and give Picnickers even more pitch options for setting up camp ahead of a stellar weekend of music, creativity and wonder!”
EP bosses have also promised the return of fan favourites Trailer Park, Croí, Salty Dog, Providencia, Fish Town and more, with further announcements to come.
