Fire rescue personnel, police officers, and deputies responded to a hotel on Friday night in Doral.

There was a report of a shooting at the Extended Stay America Premier Suites, at 8655 NW 21 Terrace.

Officer Alicia Neal, a spokeswoman for the Doral Police Department said it was a false alarm.

“Our officers arrived at the Extended Stay regarding a report of shots fired and a female screaming. After a thorough search of the hotel, the hotel was cleared with negative results,” Neal said.

It turned out a woman had confused red paint for blood, and no one was injured, police said.
