Five people found dead in Lake Station home​on February 22, 2025 at 3:25 pm

Lake Station Police discovered five people dead during a welfare check Friday afternoon.

Officers at around 2:44 p.m. February 21 were sent to a home in the 6700 block of 9th Avenue for a welfare check, according to a release on the Lake Station Police Department’s social media page. After securing a search warrant, officers found five bodies in the residence in Mansard du Lac mobile home park, the release said.

A preliminary investigation indicates the incident is isolated, and there’s no threat to the public, the release said.

More information will be released as family members are notified and the police get more information, the release said.
