DALLAS — Forbes released its list of billionaires whose wealth ranges from $1 billion to Elon Musk’s $342 billion which combines to a $16 trillion total.
That list included several known billionaires who have ties to North Texas. For DFW’s hyper-wealthy, it’s been a good year. Many of those listed have amassed more money since last year’s list, ballooning their net worth significantly.
When it comes to riches in North Texas, women rule. Of the North Texas billionaires who made the grade, the four wealthiest are women.
These numbers are eye-catching, to say the least.
Alice Walton
Did you know the richest woman in the world lives in Fort Worth? Now you do. Walmart heiress Alice Walton, founder Sam Walton’s only daughter, has a net worth of $101 billion. Since last year’s list, Walton has added nearly $10 billion to her assets.
