The players who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame were announced on Thursday night. Unfortunately, New York Giants legend and two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning will not be among them.
Among the four inductees was Jared Allen, who played against Manning quite a bit over his career.
On Friday, fresh off missing out on his first opportunity at getting the Hall of Fame nod, Manning was asked about his feelings after not being selected. As usual, Manning was his witty self.

“I’m happy for the guys who got in. I feel like I was a part of the moment because Jared Allen got in. He sacked me so many times,” Manning told TMZ Sports. “I felt like I helped him get in so I feel like you have to be happy about that.”
Manning was then if he felt like his time would come to get into the Hall.
“I’m not stressed, yeah. I’m walking down Bourbon Street right now, we got the Super Bowl in my hometown in New Orleans. Life is good,” he said.
Manning shared similar sentiments on Good Morning Football.
“I had a feeling it wasn’t going to be my night, and I understand that. And I’m totally at peace. It’s not going to change my outlook of my career and how I feel about it,” he said.
The general feeling is that Manning will eventually be inducted. However, given the competition over the next few years, this may have been his best shot at getting in.
As he was over the entirety of his career, clearly Manning seemed unfazed by the snub.
