Vegreville RCMP responded at 4:43 p.m. Wednesday to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 16 and Highway 855 between a pickup truck and a semi-truck, said a Friday news release. Fire rescue services and emergency medical services also responded.

Mounties say EMS found the driver of the pickup, a 17-year-old girl from Mundare, dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck had only minor injuries.
