Highway 1 has been reopened after a semi-truck flipped early Thursday morning in Abbotsford and caught fire.

According to Abbotsford police, the crash happened around 3 a.m. near 264 Street as the truck was eastbound.

The highway was fully closed for sometime, as crews knocked down the fire and police worked to investigate the crash and clear debris from the roadway.

The highway reopened to single-lane traffic around 7:30 a.m.

Speed and weather conditions have not yet been ruled out as factors possibly contributing to the crash.

Neither driver was seriously injured.

It’s unknown when the highway will be fully reopened to traffic in all lanes.
