And one fashion fan has taken to social media to share a look at one outfit she picked up.

Monica posts to Instagram under the username @mon.fesa.

She recently shared a short video to the platform, showing off a must-have outfit from Penneys.

In the caption of the post, she wrote: “PRIMARK/PENNEYS CHANEL VIBES

“I have to say that @primark is getting better, even though I saw loads of pieces very similar to other shops too, but in love with this set with a Chanel Vibe, the shorts are super comfy and flattering, and the cropped jacket is amazing on.”

In the video, she can be seen wearing a printed set, comprised of a jacket and shorts.

In a caption inserted into the post, she said: “The cutest set you will see this spring.”

The set features a light blue and brown striped print, and gives off major Chanel vibes.

And the jacket has large silver buttons to add some more chic to it.

She paired it with some white high heels for an elegant and chic look.

It would be perfect to wear to dinner on your holidays, into the office or on a night out.

The set is not currently available on the Penneys website, but you may find it in your local store.

And it’s not the only thing that shoppers have been rushing to get in Penneys.

The retailer is selling a huge dupe for the spring/summer season now.

DESIGNER DUPE

The striking Tie Front Waistcoat is selling for just €9.

The waistcoat features short sleeves and a plunging v-neckline.

And up the centre it has ties – making it a perfect dupe for a designer brand.

Shoppers can pick up the waistcoat in sizes XS to XL.

In the official item description on the Penneys website, fashion chiefs said: “Stay ahead of the fashion curve and embrace a season of chic fits with this tie-fastening waistcoat.

“An elegant piece you’ll reach for on repeat, it’s cut to a sleeveless silhouette that’s perfect for summer, with a chic V-neckline for a sophisticated look and feel.

“Plus, the tie detail design to the front lets you wear it opened or closed.

BIG SAVING

“Add it to your new season rotation and maintain your sense of style, whatever the day has in store!”

This is a dupe for the popular Ganni waistcoat that will cost fashion fans a pretty penny.

The Black Tie String Vest usually costs €185, but is now reduced to €92.50.

The Penneys option is almost identical to the Ganni version, so it’s a great buy for shoppers looking for the cheaper option.

When the Ganni option is selling for the normal price, by shopping in Penneys you can save a whopping €176.

While it’s on sale, you can still save €83.50.

THE HISTORY OF PENNEYS

THE Penneys brand grew from humble beginnings on Dublin’s Mary Street, where it opened its first store in 1969.

Known as Primark outside Ireland, the company was the brainchild of Garfield Weston, who hired Dubliner Arthur Ryan to make his vision reality.

Penneys branched into the UK in 1973 with its first store opening in Derby. The UK now has 191 Primark stores in total.

However, the Penneys name could not travel to Britain as the American retailer JC Penney had the right to use the name in the region.

And in 2006, the expansion into Europe began with an opening in Spain, followed by the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Austria, France and Italy.

Primark went Stateside for the first time in September 2015, with the opening of a store in Boston. There are now 27 stores in America with branches in Florida, Brooklyn, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The retailer’s opened its largest store in Birmingham in 2019.

It spans five floors and features Primark’s biggest beauty studio to date, a barbers and three restaurants.
