It can be difficult to find the perfect pair of trousers, taking into account both the look and fit.

And a fashion fan has taken to social media to share a look at one piece from the range.

Deirdre Treanor posts to Instagram under the username @deelovestoshop.

She recently shared a short video to the platform showing off a stunning pair of wide-leg trousers.

In the caption of the post, she wrote: “Styling wide-leg trousers from @dunnesstores.

“Let me know in the comments which your favourite look is.”

At the beginning of the video, she can be seen holding up a beige pair of trousers with white lines up the side.

She said: “Styling my wide leg trousers from Dunnes”.

The trousers she is styling are the Gallery Side Stripe Wide Leg Trousers.

They come in two colours, red and stone, and are available in sizes 8 to 18.

Though in the beige option, the only sizes left in stock are 14, 16 and 18.

In the official item description on the Dunnes Stores website, fashion chiefs said: “A comfortable choice for everyday wear, these trousers from Gallery are perfect for creating a relaxed office-ready look.

“They feature sporty side stripes and an elasticated waist for added comfort.

“Gallery is available exclusively at Dunnes Stores.”

For the first look, Deirdre styles the trousers with a simple white t-shirt for the ultimate casual summer look.

PERFECT FOR THE AIRPORT

She completes the first outfit with a pair of white runners.

Deirdre then adds a denim jacket for a bit more style and warmth.

She then replaces the denim jacket for a cream-coloured blazer, creating the perfect outfit for the office.

To complete the look, she adds a white pair of sandals.

Finally she adds a black t-shirt, matching it with a pair of black trainers.

She then layers it with a black jacket.

Deirdre told the Irish Sun: “They are perfect for the airport, comfy, casual but can be dressed up. Ideal for lunch/brunch with the girls… White T-shirt & denim jacket and you are dressed.

“I’m wearing the xs, elasticated band & pockets…win win! Really can wear them multiple ways.”

The trousers are available both online and in stores now.

THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES

DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 – and it was an instant hit.

Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland’s first ‘shopping frenzy’.

During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne’s ‘Better Value’ bargains.

Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 – starting with apples and oranges.

The retailer said: “Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.

“Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong.

“Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas.”

The retailer’s first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960.

They added: “In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed.

“Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England.”

Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.
