Luke Littler has risen to global stardom in the last year after his jaw-dropping performance at the 2023 PDC World Darts Championships in London made him a star.
Now, the prodigy has become the youngest World Darts Championship winner after defeating Michael van Gerwen 7-3. His darts skills aren’t the only thing grabbing attention though.
At only 17, Luke’s love life has already dominated headlines. So here is all you need to know about the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year’s rumoured relationship…
Ex-girlfriend
Luke had previously been dating Eloise Milburn, who had supported her man during his sensational performance at the tournament last year.
The pair reportedly met while playing the football video game FIFA. Their relationship often came under fire from the public for their significant age gap, as Eloise was 21 while Luke was 16 at the time.
Both Luke and Eloise’s parents had to rush to her defense on several occasions, with her mum Amanda telling the MailOnline: ‘She’s not with him for any of these reasons. She doesn’t care about his money or his fame, she’s with him because she likes him.’
‘It’s really hurtful when we read these comments, many of them from so-called darts fans. My daughter is none of these things that these vile people are making out. She’s a lovely young girl who is in a new relationship and people should allow them to get on with things.’
Tough breakup
In the end, Luke and Eloise’s relationship didn’t work out. The darts star is said to have broken up with his former love in July in the most brutal way… over text.
Again, Luke had to rush to Eloise’s defense after some of his fans began to blame her for the breakdown of their relationship.
He took to his Instagram story to say: ‘Everyone needs to stop sending hate towards Eloise saying it’s her fault, this and that. I myself split up with Eloise and everyone just needs to give us some time, no need for everyone to message her and give her grief.’
Rumoured new girlfriend
Luke is currently thought to be dating a new mystery lady. He sent rumours flying after he appeared to reveal his new relationship during a livestream.
The darts champ was playing a video game boxing match with popular YouTuber Morgan Burtwistle, who goes by the name Angry Ginge, when a girl’s voice was heard from his mic.
The voice told Luke: ‘I’m gonna try and get some sleep because I’m so tired,’ leading fans to speculate he has a new lady in his life.
Hopefully, we will get a glimpse of the new lady in his life supporting him at Alexandra Palace on Monday night.
Winning the World Darts Championship
Luke, who is said to have first picked up a dart at 18 months old, cemented his status as the new king of darts when he won the World Darts Championship in January.
Speaking after his victory, Luke told Sky News: ‘I can’t believe it! I really can’t believe it. Everyone dreams of lifting this trophy but you have to get through a tough field.’
