Jayden Dawson’s 26 points helped Loyola defeat Saint Louis 78-69 on Friday night at Gentile Arena.

Sheldon Edwards Jr. scored 17 points — including nine straight during a decisive late run — and Des Watson 14 for the Ramblers (16-9, 7-5 Atlantic 10), who rallied from a seven-point second-half deficit.

Gibson Jimerson led the Billikens (14-12, 7-6) with 20 points, Robbie Avila added 19 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists and Kobe Johnson had 14 points.

Loyola’s next game is Tuesday at Davidson. Saint Louis plays host to Rhode Island on Saturday.
