Jennifer Aniston’s Alleged Gate-Crasher Faces Prison Time Over Stalking ‘Friends’ Star & Driving Into Her Bel-Air Home​on May 7, 2025 at 11:19 pm

The Mississippi man who crashed his car through the gates of Jennifer Aniston’s Bel-Air mansion on May 5 is being charged with stalking as well as vandalism, the Los Angeles County District Attorney said today.

Being held on a statutory bail at $150,000, Jimmy Wayne Carwyle faces up to three years in a California state prison if found guilty on the felonies. The 48-year-old will be arraigned Thursday in LA Superior Court.

According to the LA DA’s office: “Between March 1, 2023, and May 5, 2025, Carwyle is accused of repeatedly harassing the victim, Jennifer A., sending her unwanted social media, voicemail, and email messages.”

Those alleged actions took a dangerous turn when Carwyle smashed into Aniston’s property on Monday at around 12:20 pm PT. Aniston was home when the incident took place, though was not injured. Her security guards held Carwyle until the LAPD arrived, law enforcement reports.

“Stalking is a crime that can quickly escalate from harassment to dangerous, violent actions, threatening the safety of victims and our communities,” District Attorney Nathan Hochman declared Wednesday as more details of Carwyle’s actions and intentions towards the Friends star were revealed. “My office is committed to aggressively prosecuting those who stalk and terrorize others, ensuring they are held accountable.”

Led by Deputy District Attorney Sam Hulefeld, the case is being handled by the DA’s Stalking and Threat Assessment Team.

Designed by prolific modern architect A. Quincy Jones, Aniston’s home was renovated in 1965 by Frederick Fisher and later redone by The Morning Show actress and ex-husband Justin Theroux. The 8,500 square-foot property was purchased for just under $21 million in the early 2010s. It sits on a 3.4 acre lot in pricey Bel-Air.
