Cornerback Marlon Humphrey is under contract with the Baltimore Ravens for several more years but that didn’t stop offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor from attempting to recruit him to the New York Giants.
Following a playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills, Humphrey noted that there could be significant roster turnover in Baltimore. He even made note that the Ravens have an out in his contract but stopped short of predicting his future.
Humphrey may return and he may not. But Eluemunor saw that as an opportunity and he took it.

Eluemunor’s comment immediately drew the attention of Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, who chimed in with his own two cents.
Despite Parsons’ comment, Eluemunor would not be deterred.

Perhaps Parsons missed Humphrey’s post-game comments.
If the 28-year-old does get released and hits the open market, the Giants would make sense as a potential destination. They are in need of a top cornerback thanks to the failed development of Deonte Banks and Humphrey certainly fits the bill.
The four-time Pro Bowler and two-time First-Team All-Pro has appeared in 116 games (98 starts), recording 440 tackles, 15 QB hits, 6.0 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, 91 passes defensed, 19 interceptions, and one defensive touchdown.
Although a lot must transpire in order for the Giants to even get a crack at Humphrey, Eluemunor deserves credit for his attempt to help better the team’s roster after a miserable 3-14 season.
