SCARED CANADIANS

That’s the only explanation why anyone would vote for Mr. Carney as Canada’s next prime minister. There’s only one question you Carney supporters have to ask yourselves. Has your standard of living increased in the last 10 years with the Liberals running our country into the ground? The answer is a resounding no. Unfortunately Carney has just as much to offer as Trudeau’s replacement, meaning nothing new. Wake up Canada. A change in government matters right now for everyone.

BAN PAUSED

Re: Alberta pauses some of its fight-back plan against the U.S. amid tariff dispute (April 17). Why is Danielle Smith so naive to the dangers of Donald Trump? Look at the destruction he’s causing to the American economy, the American people and the world in general. Trump doesn’t give a hoot about Albertans. He just wants our natural resources. In addition, he despises weakness and takes advantage of it at every turn. And Smith’s weakness is mind blowing. When she finally puts the interests and safety of Alberta and Canada first, I will gladly go back to buying local.

MOOSE MESS

As a former jail guard, I remember reading the file of an older inmate who killed a man with a frozen moose leg somewhere in Manitoba. I thought then it was such a Canadian circumstance. Considering current events and in keeping with the art of the deal, I suggest we send several trailers of frozen moose legs to Washington for free as a Canadian gesture of friendship. Their usage or course, would be up to them and will be subject to the necessary waivers. We get their illegal guns, they get our frozen moose legs — gratis!

ODD ENDORSEMENTS

Can anyone possibly explain what exactly is happening here? The Mark Carney Liberals continue to hold a strong lead in the polls, despite being the preferred choice of both Donald Trump and China. That most Canadians agree with a belligerent bully, and an unapologetic dictatorship that executes its enemies is astounding to me. When did the Canadian electorate become that complacent and complicit in their critical analysis of leadership and governance?
