In response to Abram Wiebe’s “Problem Child” letter, my question to him is: is he aware of the amount of transfer payments that Alberta blows to the provinces of Ontario and Quebec? If Alberta could keep the billions and billions that is sent east, then perhaps our government would not have monster deficits. So if Mr. Wiebe would prefer to move to one of those other provinces, perhaps he should get on his pony and ride, ride, ride because most other modes of transportation are fueled with Alberta fossil fuels.

Re: Jury Selection Set To Start In Former World Junior Players’ Sex Assault Trial…

Hey, these five hockey players think they are like Hollywood celebrities, and think they’re above the law? Let’s hope the judge will throw the book at them, instead of the usual slap on the wrist. Canada is infested with too many soft judges. We need a few more ‘hanging’ ones, just for good measure. Maybe, Gov.-Gen. Mary Rose might want to consider this sexual assault victim a candidate for the Order of Canada.

Bad planning

So one week before the highly contested general election and one day AFTER the advanced voting polls CLOSED, Poilievre finally releases his party’s platform. Who within the Conservative Party came up with this brilliant strategy, a level of wisdom more normally associated with the intellect of the Three Stooges? So anyone who voted early and for the Liberals could not have been swayed to change their vote after hearing what Mr. Poilievre’ s plans are. Seems to me that this act of sheer stupidity will likely achieve nothing more than ensuring that we will have to suffer with another four years of a woke, left wing Liberal government agenda. In a time when this country drastically needs a change of government, the Conservatives may have very well screwed themselves and those of us so desperate for change, again.

What happened?

Mark Carney released his spending platform last weekend and in it, Carney plans to spend $225 billion over the next four years on what is nothing more than wishful thinking and green dreams.

I first heard of Mark Carney a little less than twenty years ago when Carney was the Governor of the Bank of Canada. His warning was at the time that Canadians are taking on unprecedent household debt and if Canadians don’t rein in and curtail their borrowing and spending it could lead to dire consequences. What happened to Carney’s fiscal restraint?
