DON’T COME AFTER CANADA
I agree we need to stop fentanyl, not just in the U.S., but here, too.
If the components are being sent here from China and the drug is manufactured here, then the same thing is happening in the U.S.
It’s time for our governments to collaborate instead of being adversaries. U.S. President Donald Trump seems unhappy unless he’s forcing his way upon everyone else.
I’d be OK with the tariffs if it weren’t for him attacking our sovereignty. We love Canada and being Canadian, so leave us alone!
RICHARD STRANGE
(The tariffs will devastate entire sectors of our economy. That also threatens our sovereignty.)
TRUMP’S TARIFFS
That brick wall that seemed so far away is now right in front of us and we are going to hit it at full speed.
Keep your fingers crossed that the airbags deploy.
This country has allowed every special interest group to manipulate how Canada operates under their control.
Our economy has been resource dependent dating back to beaver pelts and it needs to return to those roots.
Oil and gas will go the way of the beaver pelt and be worthless by the turn of the next century, but for now we need to take advantage of those riches.
For those who want to fight against this renewed chance of prosperity, I encourage you to move somewhere off the grid without the use of any modern day conveniences … didn’t think so.
WAYNE BOYCE
(Is it a light at the end of the tunnel or an oncoming train?)
DANCING TO TRUMP’S TUNE
They all dance to Donald Trump’s tune.
Look at all the heads of nations (certainly they are not leaders) who present no options except how fast they can acquiesce to Trump’s dictates.
No strategies for a Canada-China-Mexico-EU trading bloc to end run the U.S.
No actions to immediately slap a 30 per cent tax on electricity, gas and oil sales to the U.S. this winter.
Because what is a tariff but a tax on those with limited ability to retaliate?
We Canadians know all about this since our Liberal governments have whacked us with Trudeau taxes (pere et fils) on our incomes for decades.
DYAN CROSS
(We can’t afford any more taxes, no matter who is imposing them.)
