To all my hard-working, common-sense Conservative friends, this will be a fitting end to the Liberal socialist agenda. Along with the leader of their choice, the saviour and lifelong banker Mark Carney, the Liberal empire will disintegrate into oblivion like its close friends in the Jagmeet Singh-led NDP. Unfortunately this will come at the expense of our country.
My parents used to tell me that money didn’t grow on trees, and back in the day, most of us learned it to be true. Hard work, no credit, pay to play. The best of times the world will ever see have been brought down by the socialist way.
I would bet the congratulatory call from U.S. President Donald Trump to Carney began with, “Congratulations governor, we will be talking soon.”
This opportunity for Canada should be welcomed with open arms and hearts. We will be a stronger and safer North America as soon as we accept the offer.

A maple leaf as the 51st state on the flag should be our Trump card.

BEYOND DISAPPOINTED
I am beyond disappointed and disgusted that the Liberals won the election. Justin Trudeau was bad enough, but I fear Mark Carney is worse.
I give up. Donald Trump is right, we don’t deserve to be a country. We have too many parties, including one in only one province, which should not be allowed federal status. The majority of our citizens are obviously not capable of voting for a responsible government, apparently they prefer scandals, obscenely high taxes and a decimated economy.
God save us. I agree with the people of Alberta. It’s time to join the U.S. or have them annex us.

(Not all of us are pleased with the idea of joining the U.S.)
BETTER GET GOING
So the incredible whining has begun and some readers are saying they are so ashamed to be Canadian. OK, so then put up or shut up. Move to the U.S., the land of zero freedom these days, no health care, no jobs and no rule of law.
Go ahead, despite my not being a fan of the recent Liberal party ideas, I’m proud to be and will always be Canadian. You folks should stop talking and get moving. As Trump says, “Don’t need you.”
DAVID KEENAN
(Agreed. Better to stand proud than just give in to a bully.)
