Guests willing to pay a premium for shorter wait times for their favorite rides at Disney now have an option to help them with that, even if they are not staying at a Disney hotel.
Beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 21, all guests can purchase the “Lightning Lane Premier Pass,” a perk previously available only to guests staying at a Disney resort hotel or other select hotels.
What this means for your next visit
- Guests who have plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort theme parks can start reserving/purchasing Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days (beginning at 7 a.m.) before their vacation (if they are staying at a Disney resort hotel).
- Guests staying offsite can make selections 3 days before their visit.
- Guests who purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass can purchase up to three experiences ahead of time.
- Lightning Lane Single passes can also be purchased for up to two in-demand attractions (and can vary in price per person depending on the season), like “The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train” at the Magic Kingdom Park.
In order to use the Lightning Lane Multi Pass products, guests have to download the My Disney Experience app on their smartphones to make selections. Pricing for each of the attractions can change depending on the season.
