Supermodel Linda Evangelista is just like the rest of us, getting influenced by social media to spend a few quid on some beauty buy or sweatshirt we don’t need.
Evangelista has decades of modelling experience under her belt so she knows her way around a makeup bag, which is why we are intrigued that she uses an under-the-radar mascara that costs just €16 from a brand we’ve never heard of.
It’s her solution to sparse lashes, so we have dug a little deeper to understand why she reckons it’s a great buy. Linda Evangelista might be on the money with this buy and it sounds great for blonde or grey lashes too.
Linda Evangelista

Linda Evangelista and her supermodel cohorts Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Christie Turlington dominated the fashion scene in the 1990s, and any beauty buy they used we would try and get our hands on.
Linda will turn 60 in May and she has been open about her two breast cancer diagnoses in 2018, and again in 2022, only a year after she sued fat-freezing company CoolSculpting for a botched job, a case she then settled some months later for a reported €48m.
Beauty Regime
Appearing at a skincare symposium for beauty brand Shiseido, Linda Evangelista shared some of her beauty secrets including the bi-monthly sculpting facials she enjoys, plus wearing sunscreen like it was a religion. She said the sun hadn’t touched her skin for nearly 30 years and it’s testament to how youthful her skin is at nearly 60.
Her daily routine sounds just like ours, she keeps it simple with cleansing, moisturising and sun protection. In the winter she adds in a little retinol to her regime to boost cell turnover and collagen production, favouring the Medik8 range, a line loved by celebrities. But, for her lashes, she says Instagram made her buy this budget-friendly mascara as it kept popping up on her feed.
Favourite Mascara
Linda Evangelista says that her ‘cancer meds’ have given her sparse lashes now and to emphasize what she has she uses a mascara from a brand called 19/99. The Lash Tint mascara can be used on lashes and brows (if the shade is right for your brows) and it is a smudge, flake and transfer-proof tubing mascara.
Its beauty is in the wand, a long and narrow brush that can grab even the shortest lash to define and elongate it, giving the appearance of longer lashes. The tubing effect, where the mascara creates a sheath around each lash, is how it delivers fullness, it’s a smart little mascara that’s for sure, we’re not surprised a supermodel like Linda Evangelista spotted its genius immediately.
