Toronto Police say officers responded to five robbery calls in the areas of St. Clair Ave. W. and Dufferin St., Dundas St. W. and Dufferin St., and Dundas St. West and Runnymede Rd. between last Friday and Monday.

It’s alleged that in each incident, a man entered a store, went behind the counter and confronted the employee while demanding cash. In one incident, the man produced a knife.

It’s further alleged the man took a quantity of cash and assorted items before fleeing. And in one incident, he even took the cash register.

Police say a suspect was identified and further investigation determined the same man was allegedly involved in five additional incidents at a single location near St. Clair Ave. W. and Bathurst St. between Feb. 11 and Wednesday.

It’s further alleged that the suspect attended the store, taking a quantity of alcohol and fled. In two of those incidents, he was accompanied by another man.
