An 18-year-old man will come before the court on Saturday after he was charged with murder following a police investigation into the death of a man in Midland.
Tawhai Walker-Loughlin was charged with murder overnight following what neighbours described as a frenzied stabbing attack on Thursday evening outside a home on the corner of Great Northern Highway and Margaret Street in Perth’s east.
Police later confirmed that a man in his 30s had died after he was conveyed to hospital with serious injuries.
On Friday police said three people were assisting with their enquiries as they examined two separate locations in the nearby area.
Neighbours recalled a woman at the scene just moments after the alleged attack.
“Watching her, she went from disbelief, to shock, to distraught,” a nearby resident said.
“My heart was breaking for her.”
