A man in a wheelchair has died after being hit by a train in Brisbane.
The collision occurred before midday on Tuesday at the rail crossing on Stanley Street in Coorparoo.
Authorities said the man was hit by the Spirit of Queensland tilt train, which was empty at the time.
Police closed nearby roads, and pedestrians were urged to avoid the area, including Tiber Street and Cavendish Road.
Services on the Cleveland line were suspended, with buses replacing trains, and delays of up to 30 minutes.
At 4.30pm, Translink advised that Cleveland line trains were still suspended between Cannon Hill and Boggo Road/Park Road in both directions.
Translink advised there were also delays on the Caboolture, Redcliffe and Shorncliffe lines.
The Spirit of Queensland travels between Brisbane and Cairns. However, services currently terminate at Mackay due to flooding.
