WITH a glorious afternoon of sunny weather across Northern Ireland for Mother’s Day, further bright spells can be expected during the week.
The Met Office has forecast maximum temperatures of 14 °C on Sunday, but the overall picture is to turn hazier as clouds build from the west in the late afternoon.
Monday is to have a dull, cloudy start with some brighter spells developing in the morning.
After a cloudier afternoon and the odd light shower, dry and settled conditions are forecast from Tuesday to Thursday with plenty of sunshine on offer and staying mild.
As March draws to a close and April begins, high pressure will dominate with plenty of dry weather ahead ⛅
Lots of warm spring sunshine to come, but a keen southeasterly breeze may keep it rather fresh for some southern and eastern coasts at times 🍃 pic.twitter.com/DOfbWG7lKP

Across the UK, South East England is set to experience the hottest temperatures with highs of 20-23°C by the end of the week.
A Met Office spokesperson commented: “In typical spring fashion, we are going to see a short-lived spell of unsettled weather this weekend before we transition back towards a blocked weather pattern as high pressure builds on Sunday and dominates our weather through much of next week.
“While day time temperatures will be warm next week, nights will still be chilly and there is still a chance we could see some rural overnight frosts under the clear skies.”
