Netflix Expands Japan Slate With ‘Final Draft’, ‘Badly In Love’ & ‘Welcome, Now Get Lost’​on February 12, 2025 at 10:59 am

Netflix has added a trio of unscripted series to its Japanese slate.

Final Draft, Badly in Love and Welcome Now, Get Lost were announced at a Next on Netflix event today, and will sit on a Netflix Japan slate for this year also comprising the likes of Romantics Anonymous, 10Dance and Alice in Borderland Season 3.

Final Draft is billed as Netflix’s first survival reality series and will feature former professional athletes, who seek to knock the others out of the game by competing in a series of near-impossible competitions that take them to the brink. The winner of a 30 million yen prize will use the money to fund a second career. Show is from The Far Eastern TV Entertainment Inc. and the showrunner is Kazuaki Hasimoto.

Badly in Love comes from Megumi, and is billed as a “wildly authentic romance reality show” in which outsiders, who love their friends and hometowns, risk everything for the ones they love.

Welcome, Now Get Lost is a comedy format based on a show titled Batoumura that Nobuyuki Sakuma created for YouTube channel Nobrock TV. It will see comedians navigating a most unwelcoming village. Koji Higashino is the host, with Sakuma the producer and director.
