A new éclair bakery that has opened in Dun Laoghaire is proving so popular that it is selling out of éclairs every single day.
The chain French Revolution opened its doors on Marine Road last week, on February 13, and have become such an instant hit that if you arrive too late in the day, you might leave empty handed.
French Revolution reported this week that since opening they have been ‘selling out completely’. The bakery even ‘increased production’ but all the éclairs are still gone by 3pm!
The store exclusively sells the classic French pastry treat, made with choux dough, filled with cream and topped with a flavored icing, with rows of multi-coloured éclairs on display in the shop.
The bakery creates 12 varieties of éclairs fresh every morning in their confectionery lab below the shop with pastry chefs starting production at 5am.
The éclair flavours range from classic chantilly vanilla to more adventurous passion fruit or mango éclairs – and are sure to have you drooling.
It might be time to get down to Dun Laoghaire for a little sweet treat and see what all the hype is about… but if you do, be sure to get down early!

French Revolution in Dun Laoghaire is open seven days a week from 9am to 3pm.
