The New York Giants are now officially in offseason mode, which means it’s time to begin signing players to reserve/futures contracts.
General manager Joe Schoen wasted no time. Following exit interviews on Monday morning, he began making his first personnel moves of the new year.
A reserve/futures contract (also known as a “futures contract”) gives the Giants (or any other NFL team) the rights to a certain player who did end the previous season on a 53-man roster. It includes practice squad players, free agents, and street free agents.
Reserve/futures contracts are often (but not always) for the minimum and are non-guaranteed.
- DT Ross Blacklock
- OL Bryan Hudson
- K Jude McAtamney
- DT Casey Rogers
- OL Jimmy Morrissey
Additional signings in the coming days are likely and we’ll update this scorecard as moves are made.
