Niamh Ní Dhomhnaill: Rape survivors’ counselling notes should not be weaponised

The potential roll-back of proposals in the last Programme for Government to ban the use of sexual assault victims’ counselling notes in court is of major concern to survivors and activists. While Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan says he is examining proposals ‘as a matter of urgency’, every day that someone must choose between court or counselling is a lost opportunity for healing, writes Niamh Ní Dhomhnaill
