No injuries in fire in building along Bloor Street near Christie Pits

Toronto fire crews have extinguished a fire on the second floor of a building near Christie Pits.

Emergency services were called to 838 Bloor St. at around 11:40 a.m. on Thursday.

Smoke and flames were found on the second floor upon arrival and fire crews extinguished the blaze.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported.

An update from the Toronto Police Service said Bloor Street West is closed between Ossington Avenue and Crawford Street.
