Pedro Pascal Advocates For Trans Rights At ‘Thunderbolts’ London Premiere With “Protect The Dolls” T-Shirt​on April 23, 2025 at 2:18 am

Pedro Pascal is expressing his support for the transgender community and made a big statement at the Thunderbolts premiere in London.

The Last of Us actor made an appearance at the Cineworld Leicester Square in support of the Marvel film, sporting the viral “Protect the Dolls” t-shirt.

Pascal had previously worn the shirt during his 50th birthday celebration on April 6.

The “Protect the Dolls” t-shirt was designed by Conner Ives, who showed it at his runway show during London Fashion Week earlier this year. “Dolls” is how the LGBTQIA+ community refers to trans women.

In an interview with The New York Times, Ives explained what inspired them to make the t-shirt.

“It was very reactive. I knew I wanted to say something, given what we’ve observed in the last few months with the U.S. government and the current political regime,” Ives said.

Proceeds from the sale of the t-shirt are donated to Trans Lifeline, an organization that supports transgender people.

Pascal wore the t-shirt after the UK Supreme Court ruled that a woman is defined by biological sex, which excludes transgender women.

The actor who is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has been a vocal trans rights advocate. Pascal’s sister, Lux Pascal, came out as a transgender woman in February 2021.

The trans community has been hit hard by the Donald Trump administration with policies that purposely exclude them. Trump recently signed an executive order titled “Prioritizing Military Excellence and Readiness that restricts transgender military service.

Artists like Lady Gaga and Madonna have spoken out against these policies, expressing their support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
