Miriam took to her Instagram today to thank her local Tesco workers as they helped her to locate her very important laptop.

The mum of six shared a text message exchange between her and the shop’s manager, who, to Miriam’s relief, had found the computer.

The 65-year-old regaled fans with the story of how she managed to lose the laptop, hours before having to go on air for Prime Time.

Miriam had been in her local Tesco in The Merrion Center, where she also got her hair done.

She then went on to RTE where she was due to be on air, until she realised she didn’t have her laptop.

With no time to spare, Miriam returned to the centre in search of her prized possession before going live, but came up fruitless.

Eventually, after she returned home, she received a “joyous” text message from Celine, the shop’s manager.

The text read: “Just wanted to put your mind at ease. Your laptop was located and handed in by a customer.”

A delighted Miriam replied: “Thank you so much Celine. You’re a star. I would like to give a small gift to that customer and you.”

Explaining how the ordeal unfolded, she wrote: “As I always say this world is full of wonderful people.

It was another crazy busy day yesterday and I managed to mislay my laptop with my life on it but I wasn’t sure where I left it.

I had been shopping in @Tescoirl in The Merrion Centre after getting my hair done in @petermarkhair before presenting Prime Time so after ransacking RTE but no luck I went back down to the Centre late yesterday evening before going on air but no sign.

But then when I got home from Prime Time around 11pm last night I got this text, a joyous text, eternally grateful to Celine in Customer Service in @tescoirl to store manager Rachael, to Henry there in security and to the guy who handed it in to Henry after finding it in a trolley thank you SO much, I am forever grateful!

‘LOVELY’

Note to self – don’t take your laptop with you when getting a blow dry or going shopping.”

Friends and fans flocked to Miriam’s comment section to gush over the charming tale.

Best selling author, Marian Keyes wrote: “Well This is lovely”

Zoe said: “A lovely good news story!!”

One fan joked: “The relief! You definitely owe St Anthony a few bob! I can only imagine the panic. Fair play to everyone who helped get the laptop back to you.”

Another fan added: “Love this! People can be so kind.”
