A person was injured while riding a scooter on Friday in Hallandale Beach, police said.
According to Grace Mariot, a spokeswoman for the Hallandale Beach Police Department, the driver of a van ran over a person using an electric scooter along East Hallandale Beach Boulevard.
Fire rescue personnel responded to the crash near Northeast 12 Avenue and traffic homicide detectives were investigating the crash.
