Police release more info on suspects in Tuesday’s smash and grab​on March 12, 2025 at 5:24 pm

Police released more information Wednesday about a smash and grab that hit several businesses in Chicago’s Sauganash and North Mayfair neighborhoods early Tuesday morning.

Police said it was a group of five males wearing masks, dark clothing and gloves who broke into multiple locations all around 4 a.m. on Tuesday through smashing either a window or the front glass door.

Hit were two locations on the 4100 block of West Peterson Avenue, five on the 4700 block of West Foster Avenue and one on the 6000 block of North Cicero Avenue. Once inside, the offenders took cash register drawers.

Police said the group fled in a red Kia Sportage.

No one is in custody.

A group of offenders broke the front glass doors and multiple windows at the 4700 block of West Foster Avenue around 4 a.m., police said.
