Quarry and landfill site on outskirts of Belfast under new ownership

A large quarry and waste landfill site on the outskirts of north Belfast has been sold by its long-time owner MacWill Services.

EJC & Son, a new business set up by father and son Eddie and Daniel Connolly, has announced the acquisition the Hightown Quarry site near Glengormley.

Eddie Connolly is the owner of Newtownabbey civil engineering and groundworks firm EJC Contracts.

He said his new business plans to invest heavily in the Hightown site to increase production.

“We are delighted to welcome Hightown Quarry into our operations and are excited to announce that more products will be available as a result, along with site clearance and muckaway services.
