IRELAND suffered a heavy loss against Slovenia in the UEFA Women’s Nations League on Tuesday evening.
Carla Ward’s side were soundly beaten 4-0 after a shocking performance at ŠRC Bonifika in Koper.

Slovenia’s forward Lara Prašnikar opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, assisted by Zala Kramžar, and added a second goal in the 28th minute with help from Kaja Korošec.
Kramžar extended Slovenia’s lead in the 34th minute, with Maja Sternad providing the assist.
Ireland conceded a fourth after trailing by three at the break, Kajzba netted the winner in the 81st to put the icing on the cake for the host.
The poor showing came their UEFA Nations League Group B, Group 2 opening win last Friday against Turkey.
